See the Sites, And then Make the Movie!
UK Connection has joined with Location Tours and the New York Film Academy to offer a unique film-filled day of sightseeing and filmmaking!

Students begin the day with an 'On Location Tours' bus tour of 'New York TV and Movie Sites' where they will visit locations that have been used in more than 60 movies and TV shows that have been shot in New York City. New locations include The Devil Wears Prada, The Interpreter, Gossip Girl and I am Legend plus sites from Friends, Will and Grace, Men in Black, Hitch, and many more. The three-hour guided tour, is led by actors and actresses who share inside industry information and little known facts relating to TV shows and movies. TV theme songs and video clips from the actual television shows and movies seen on the tour are part of the overall experience. The second half of the day is a 4 hour film-making workshop at The New York Film Academy where students will get an introduction to each step of the film-making process including, writing, casting, acting, directing, shooting, and editing. Students will break up into groups to work on each aspect of the film. The workshop concludes with the students and staff screening the film.
