Krakow

Download our Destination Guide for Krakow (3.55 MB)

Krakow is a delightful destination and a real find for historical, cultural and architectural groups alike. Having been the country's capital for over 500 years and escaped destruction through war it has retained much of its charm and heritage. It is a city alive with character and spirit and well worth a visit.

Although the city no longer plays such an important administrative role, for many people, thanks to its rich history, Krakow nevertheless represents a synthesis of all things Polish, connecting tradition with modernity. In the special atmosphere of the beautiful and mysterious streets of the Old Town and Kazimierz you will find everything you need to allow you to escape from everyday life. Galleries full of exhibitions, cafes and restaurants: all of this is an integral part of any visit to Krakow.

Novotel Bronowice
This lovely 4 Star hotel enjoys a parkland setting in a quiet residential area but still close to the city centre. It offers the usual high standard of accommodation that is expected from this well-known chain and good facilities including an indoor swimming pool, solarium and currency exchange. Students enjoy twin rooms with en-suite facilities and colour TV.

Hotel Wyspianski
This 3 star hotel is centrally located, next to the picturesque Planty Park and offers convenient access to all of the major attractions. It is just a 5 minute walk to the main market square, 10 minutes from the main train station and 20 minute walk from Kazimierz (the former Jewish district). Rooms are tastefully decorated and accommodate a maximum of 3 students, all rooms have en-suite facilities, TV, radio and air-con. The hotel's restaurant offers a wide choice of European and Eastern European dishes and there is a lively café/bar. The hotel also has several large meeting rooms, a souvenir shop and a Bank.
